Peter Hooker – Director
Peter is professional surveyor, whose business and management skills have resulted in Lynton Survey’s achieving the tunnelling and high end civil survey services reputation it enjoys today.
Peter’s qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Surveying, University of Newcastle (1987)
- Bachelor of Information Technology, University of Southern Queensland
- Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency
Aaron Williams – Director
Aaron is a professional surveyor, whose excellent management and communication skills have helped form solid client relationships. Aaron plays a key role in training to ensure we deliver a professional service. Aaron is the Tunnelling Manager as well as overseeing all of Lynton Surveys operations in Queensland.
Aaron’s qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Surveying, University of Otago (1997), New Zealand
- Registered Surveyors Board of Queensland
- OH&S Certified Consultant
Steve Garlinge – Monitoring and Machine Automation Manager
Steve heads Lynton Survey’s research and development team. He develops and implements tunnel engineering and monitoring survey software and systems, while improving the safety, quality and productivity of construction activities.
Steve’s qualifications include:
- BE (Geomatics Engineering) Hons. Class1, Newcastle University
- Distinction UNSW Science competition
- Distinction Australian maths competition
- Awarded Institution of Surveyors Scholarship
- Awarded UNSW HECS equity scholarship
- Awarded School of Geomatic Engineering, first place in first year

Matthew Clarke – Cadastral Survey Manager
Matt specialises in cadastral surveying matters and developing skills in difficult survey areas. These skills are easily translated to other areas of Sydney and regions of NSW. They include identification surveys (residential and commercial), primary applications, delimitation surveys, subdivisions, including conventional land subdivision; strata and stratum subdivision; easement plans and preparation of Draft 88B documents; lease surveys for registration; land title investigations; boundary markouts and water boundary determinations.
Matt’s qualifications include:
- Registered Surveyor [NSW &QLD]
- Member of the Institute of Surveyors – Australia (MIS)
- Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering (2000) UNSW
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Science) CSU
